Breaking: Anxiety in Southeast as Gunmen Abduct Another Monarch

Aboh Mbaise, Imo - Eze Damian Nwaigwe, the traditional ruler of Mbutu ancient kingdom in Aboh Mbaise local government area of Imo state has been kidnapped by gunmen.
The Nation reports that the monarch was abducted on Thursday, December 9, from the palace at about 2:30 am.
A source told the publication stated that the gunmen numbering about 10, shot into the air before whisking the monarch away to unknown location.
Micheal Abattam, the state police spokesperson confirmed the monarch's abduction, The Punch added.

According to the police, the monarch’s vehicle in which he was taken away has been recovered. The command noted that they were on the trail of the abductors.
It was gathered that the gunmen are yet to demand a ransom.
Pastor begs God for forgiveness after kidnapping Catholic priest
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Pastor Izuchukwu Anoloba, aged 35, has been arrested alongside others by the operatives of the Imo state police command for kidnapping a Catholic priest, Fr Fidelis Ekemgba.
Anoloba and his gang members who were paraded by the state's commissioner of police, Rabiu Hussaini, held the priest for over seven days and made him to pay a ransom of N5 million to them.
Legit.ng gathered that the Imo police chief, Hussaini, said the pastor was arrested in Lagos following intelligence gathering by men of the anti-kidnapping unit of the command.
Tension as gunmen abduct Catholic priest in southwest state
In another related report, gunmen suspected to be kidnappers reportedly abducted a Catholic Priest, Reverend Joseph Ajayi.
The cleric was abducted along the Akure-Ikere road in Ondo state on Tuesday, December 7.
He was said to be travelling in his Toyota Corolla to Ilara-Mokin in Ifedore local government area, close to Akure, the state capital, where his parish is located.
