Insecurity: Why I Invited Bandits To Raid Zamfara Village, Suspect confesses

A notorious bandits’ informant identified as Babuga Abubakar has confessed that he invited armed bandits who raided Wanke village in Gusau local government area and rustled 240 cows.

The Police Tactical Operatives of the Zamfara state police command along with operatives from FIB/STS Force Headquarters, Abuja led by DSP Hussaini Gimba, had earlier paraded the suspect in Gusau.

The state police commissioner Mr Ayuba Elkanah said the suspect was arrested in Gusau based on intelligence.

He said the suspect has been collaborating with notorious bandits such as Lawali Na’eka, a ring leader operating in Maradun LGA and one Almeriya, a notorious bandits’ kingpin operating in Bungudu local government.

The suspect, however, said he did that based on the agreement that he would get his share out of the stolen cows adding that he didn’t get any thing from the deal even before he was arrested.
