Robbery Suspect who Dressed as Herder Nabbed During Operation

Abokuta, Ogun state - Operatives of the Ogun state police command have arrested a robbery suspect identifed as Biodun Rasheed.

Daily Trust reports that Rasheed who was reportedly dressed like a herder was apprehended by operatives during a robbery operation at mile 6 along Ajebo road, Abeokuta, Ogun state.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, the police spokesman made the disclosure on Thursday, November 25, to newsmen.

It was gathered that officers attached to Kemta divisional headquarters in Odeda local government area had received a distress call that robbers were operating in the area.

In another report by Vanguard, Oyeyemi, revealed that the DPO Kemta division, CSP Opebiyi Sunday, mobilised his patrol team to respond to the distress call along with men of So Safe Corps and vigilante group of Nigeria.

He went on to note that the suspect is helping the police to catch the remaining members of the gang.

Oyeyemi said the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for investigation.
