Breaking: Gunmen Shoot Officer Dead, Burn Down Police Station in Imo

Arondizuogu, Ideato LGA - Gunmen have burnt down a police station at Arondizuogu in Ideato local government area of Imo state.
Daily Trust reported that an officer killed in the ugly incident.
The newspaper added that Micheal Abattam, the spokesman of the police command in the state, confirmed the development, saying it happened in the early hours of Tuesday, November 23.
Abattam said the state state commissioner of police, Rabiu Hussaini, had ordered investigation into the attack.

The Punch cited sources in the community as saying that the attack left the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Division with a broken head after he was attacked by the gunmen.
Legit.ng gathers that a Sienna vehicle attached to the division and DPO’s personal vehicles were also vandalized by the gunmen.
One of the anonymous sources was quoted to have said:
“Gunmen have attacked the Arondizuogu Divisional Police Headquarters. They burnt and killed one of the police officers. The attacked at the odd hours and left the DPO with a broken head.
"They gave him matchet cuts and vandalized his Jeep and a police sienna vehicle belonging to the division."

Meanwhile, a member of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and one gallant soldier were on Monday, November 22, killed during a gun battle in Oru East local government area of Imo state.
The acting deputy director of army public relations 82 Division Nigerian Army, Major Abubakar Abdullahi, said the incident took place when troops conducting Exercise GOLDEN DAWN dispersed some IPOB members who were setting properties ablaze.
Abdullahi in a statement shared on the army's Facebook page on Tuesday, November 23, stated that IPOB/ESN hoodlums were enforcing the illegitimate sit-at-home order imposed by the proscribed group at Awo-Mmamma community.
