Again Presidency Reacts To Lagos Panel Report, Highlights Its Plan
- Expectations continue to rise as the Lagos judicial panel has submitted its report to the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu
- The presidency has assured that it would wait for the white paper to be produced by the Lagos government on the panel's findings and recommendations
- According to the presidency, the Attorney General of the Federation has the mandate to advise the federal government on needed actions to take over the panel report

Abuja - Nigeria's presidency on Monday, November 22, said that the Attorney General of the Federation, Malami Abubakar, is in the position to advise the federal government on actions to take on the Lagos panel report and recommendations made by the members of the panel.
Speaking on Channels Television's Sunrise Daily which was monitored by Legit.ng, Femi Adesina, the presidential spokesperson said FG would only address areas that affect it on the white paper report for the Lagos judicial panel.
Adesina said the interest of the federal government would be spiked once the Lagos state government comes up with its pronouncement on the report.
He also noted that Nigeria has an Attorney General of the Federation in the person of Abubakar Malami, who would advise the federal government on how to handle issues that may arise from the white paper.

Adesina said:
“Definitely, when the reports come out the ones that are Federal in nature will be considered. There are some things that would be Federal in nature, the Federal Government would tackle that but things that are state in nature, the state government will handle."
He further noted that he was not sure if other states have completed and submitted their report on the judicial panel set up to handle cases of police brutality.
Thousands sign a petition to prosecute President Buhari on #ENDSARS killings
Two days ago, Premium Times reported that about 80,000 people have signed a petition seeking to prosecute Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari over the outcome of the Lagos #EndSARS report.
The petition was filed by a former special assistant to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan on media, Reno Omokri.
In the petition which currently stands at 77,000, Omokri directed his grouse that President Buhari has committed crimes against humanity and should be tried at the International Criminal Court, Hague.
Lagos governor sets up committee over Lagos panel report
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has assured that the recommendation of the report submitted to the state government by the Lagos judicial panel would be implemented.
The governor also set up a four-member committee led by the Lagos state attorney general to produce a white paper from the report.
He said the white paper would be adopted by his administration and in turn would be fully implemented by the state government.
Lagos judicial panel member says there are errors in the leaked document
A member of the Lagos judicial panel on police brutality has confirmed that the report leaked to the public is riddled with errors.
Temitope Majekodunmi who represented Nigerian youth on the panel said the typographical errors on the report had been corrected before the report was submitted to the Lagos state governor on November 15.
Majekodunmi also said that the leaked report in circulation across various platforms is not far from the original report which was submitted to Governor Sanwo-Olu.
