According to witnesses, no lives were lost during the attack despite their fierce battle to displace residents of the community.

It is also important to note that Damboa is a community close to Sambisa and has constantly been a target of several attacks by the ISWAP terrorists.

HumAngle reports that troops of the Nigerian Army on Friday, November 19, pushed back the attack by members of ISWAP in Damboa.

The town has close proximity to the dreaded Alagarno and Sambisa forest general areas where insurgents operate.

However, the military's resistance towards the attack by the terrorists led to the death of several members of the group.

The group members were said to have subsequently withdrawn from the town following the assault by the Nigerian Military.
