Ikeja, Lagos- The chairman of the Economic and Finacial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa is in court today, Tuesday, November 16, for further testimony in the alleged N1.4bn fuel subsidy fraud trial of Abubakar Ali Peters and his company, Nadabo Energy Limited.
Channels TV the EFCC boss, Bawa arrived in the Lagos High Court in Ikeja, in the early hours of the day, to continue his testimony on how the oil marketer, Abubakar Peters, and his company, allegedly forged documents to obtain N1.4billion as subsidy from the federal government.

Bawa is the main prosecution witness in the case.
The defendant is also in court.

Today’s case is before Justice Christopher Balogun but the defendant is facing similar charges before Justice Sedoten Ogunsanya of the same court.
Earlier, the EFCC boss, who was in the court on Wednesday, September 22, gave extensive details of how the EFCC conducted its investigations and uncovered the fraud.
Led in evidence by the Counsel to the Commission, Mr Seidu Atteh, the EFFC Chairman also told the court how the commission in 2012 received a complaint from the then Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, alleging fraud in the importation of PMS by the firm Nadabo Energy Ltd.
Through the witness, the court also admitted in evidence several documents as proof of the alleged fraud.
It equally received a petition from the law firm of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, a report by The New Telegraph also indicates.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that it seems the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), is not ready to let go of any criminal act in Nigeria.
This follows the arraignment of a retired Chief Superintendent of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Imam Aminu.
He was arraigned by the commission over alleged forgery of academic certificates.
