Abuja - One of the suspects arrested over the raid on the Maitama, Abuja, residence of Supreme Court Justice, Mary Odili has opened up
Daily Trust reports that the individual who claimed to be a Chief Superintendent of Police was identified as Lawrence Ajojo.
Ajojo, on Thursday, November 11, said he is a consultant to the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
The suspect made the disclosure while he was paraded by the police in Abuja, ThisDay added.

Speaking with reporters, Ajojo confirmed that he is not an officer of the Nigeria Police, adding that the invasion of Justice Odili's home was not authorise by Malami.
However, the AGF In a statement by his media aide, Umar Jibrilu Gwandu denied the suspects's claim.
According to the minister of justice, Ajojo is not among his consultants, saying detractors might be at work.
Gwandu said:
“With all the competent, high level professionals and capable human resources available at the disposal of the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, it only takes the imagination of the evil minds to assume or think that the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice will descend so low to engaging a quack or fake police officer to serve as his consultant.”
Malami denies ordering security raid on Mary Odili’s Abuja residence
Recall that Malami denied ordering the security raid carried out in the residence of Odili.
In a statement sent to Legit.ng on Saturday, October 30, and signed by his media aide, Malami stated that he was not in any way connected to the raid.
The AGF expressed worry about news reports linking him to the raid, describing them as concocted lies.
IGP orders probe into invasion of Justice Mary Odili’s residence
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the Inspector General of Police, (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba ordered a detailed investigation into the reported invasion of Justice Odili's residence.
In a statement issued on Monday, November 1, and released on its official Facebook page of the Nigeria Police, Frank Mba, the force public relations officer, quoted Baba as describing the invasion as unfortunate and unacceptable.
The IGP also said the leadership of the force is not aware and did not at any time order Police operatives to carry out such assignment.
