Miyetti Allah Takes Strong Position on 2023 Presidency Zoning, Tells FG How to Handle Bandits

- Bauchi chairman of Miyetti Allah said the government needs to come up with a lasting solution to the incessant crimes committed by bandits
Bauchi state - The Bauchi chapter of the Miyetti Allah Kautal H*re has called on the federal government to declare bandits as terrorists.
Backing the stance of the Senate, House of Representatives and speakers of House of Assemblies, the group said something needs to be done.
Speaking with The Nation on Sunday, November 7, the state chairman of the association, Alhaji Sadik Ibrahim Ahmad, urged the government to do needful to curb banditry.

"As far as I am concerned, the nail must be hit on the head, who are the terrorists? Terrorists are people who try to destroy legitimate activities of society, they are not productive if the FG is serious, they should do the needful and provide a lasting solution to incessant killings by the so-called bandits.”
Zoning among political parties ahead of 2023 elections
On the issue of political parties zoning the presidential ticket in the coming 2023 general elections, he said the tribe should not determine who leads Nigeria. According to him, the masses should be allowed to pick who they want to be their president irrespective of tribe.
He said any competent person should be qualified enough to lead the country irrespective of whether he's Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo. He added that zoning can never be a democratic process.
The chairman accused Nigerian leaders of creating problems and regional crises among the people.
Gunmen in Zamfara are terrorists
In an earlier report by Legit.ng, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state, said the gunmen referred to as bandits in Zamfara are actually terrorists.
Akeredolu said this on Tuesday, September 7 while receiving members of the governing board of the Federal University of Technology, Akure.
Terrorists not bandits
Similarly, Abubakar Bagudu, the governor of Kebbi state expressed concerns over the activities of bandits causing havoc across the country.
Bagudu on Thursday, September 2, asked the Buhari-led government to declare the bandits as terrorists.
According to the governor, whoever carries arms and terrorises people in an organised manner should be also declared a terrorist.
