Tears in Delta as two former commissioners die in two days
- Delta state has lost one of its illustrious sons, Joseph Ajirioghene Ogeh, who died in the early hours of Sunday, November 7
- Until his death, Ajirioghene Ogeh, an architect, was the immediate past Delta commissioner for housing
- The state had on Saturday, November 6, lost another son and former commissioner for education, Prof. Abednego Ekoko
Warri, Delta - Joseph Ajirioghene Ogeh, the immediate past Delta commissioner for housing, has been reported dead.
The Nation reports that Ogeh, an architect, died barely 24hours after Isoko nation lost renowned historian and former commissioner for education, Prof. Abednego Ekoko.
Legit.ng gathered that Ogeh reportedly passed early hours of Sunday, November 7, after he collapsed around 3 am at his residence in Warri.
According to the report, he hailed from Iyede Clan, Isoko North council area of Delta state.

Ogeh served as commissioner representing Isoko nationality in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) during the former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan-led administration.
Ogeh was a political bigwig among the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faithful in the Isoko nation.
Former Kwara commissioner dies in Lagos hospital
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that Chief Jide Adebayo, a former commissioner for information, youth, sports and culture, in Kwara state (1999), died.
It was reported that Adebayo died in a Lagos hospital on Thursday, November 4, at the age of 66 during a brief illness.
The news media stated that retired Maj.-Gen. Lasisi Abidoye, a close friend of Adebayo, confirmed this in a statement on Friday, November 5, in Omu-Aran, Irepodun local government area of Kwara state.
Adebayo, until his death, was the Eesa of Omu-Aran, second-in-command to the traditional ruler of the community, NAN also reported.
Tears as Nigeria loses influential PDP ex-senator
In a related development, a former senator on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hosea Ehinlanwo, who represented Ondo South district was reported dead at the age of 83.
According to a statement by his son, Soji, Ehinlanwo died at his home in Abuja after a brief illness.
Ehinlanwo who served in the Senate between 2003 and 2011 was also an associate of the former minister of communications, late Chief Olu Akinfosile.
He was also known to have taught at the famous Lagos City College, Sabo, Lagos, and at the Department of Business Administration, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun.
