Oh, Obi Cubana Again! Socialite Finds Name in Fake News Scandal Against EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says its officials did not take pictures with Obi Cubana, the Abuja-based business mogul, after his release from their custody.
In a statement, Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC’s spokesman, said the people in the picture are not known to the commission and the image was not taken at its facility.

“The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, wishes to disclaim a trending photograph in the social media purported to have been taken by socialite Obi Cubana in the premises of the Commission, crowded by people described as staff of the EFCC,” Uwujaren said.
“The said picture captioned: EFCC Crew poses for quick photograph with billionaire socialite and businessman, Obi Cubana, was not taken in EFCC facility and the people therein are unknown to the Commission.

“The Commission warns the public not to be misled by another mischievous stunt by Cubana’s publicists.”
Checks by theCable showed that the picture was shared by Cubana on his Instagram page on October 7 after a book launch at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre in Abuja before his encounter with the EFCC.
Davido reacts to Obi Cubana's arrest, shares solidarity post
Legit.ng earlier reported that music superstar, Davido put up a solidarity post for Obi Cubana.
Davido shared a photo of Obi Cubana on his Instagram story channel with a short caption to praise him.
The post was shared several hours after reports surfaced that the businessman was arrested by the EFCC.

The billionaire businessman said in an interview that people who want to be successful should never stop working hard towards achieving such goals.
He said social media made it look like he became a successful man overnight, adding that his business has been in existence for 13 years.
