FCT, Abuja- New report by Daily Independent indicate that Popular Nigerian business mogul, Obinna Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana has finally regained freedom from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The newspaper had on Monday, November 1, reported that the anti-graft agency invited the 46-year-old socialite over alleged money laundering and tax fraud, and this has generated massive reactions from Nigerians.
But he breathed the air of freedom on Thursday evening, November 4, after spending three nights in the commission's custody.
While confirming his release, the EFCC Spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren disclosed that Obi Cubana had been released.

During his stay with the EFCC, he was quizzed several times over his alleged involvement in money laundering and tax fraud.
Recall that the Anambra-born club owner got into the spotlight in July when he hosted an ostentatious burial for his late mother in Oba, Anambra state.
Deji Adeyanju wades in on Obi Cubana's arrest
Earlier, Activist Deji Adeyanju has revealed that he warned the businessman to be careful when he became an object of attention on social media.
He added that his warning made people think that he was jealous, adding that Obi is lucky that he was arrested by EFCC and not the FBI.
Adeyanju further disclosed that Obi Cubana's case is not serious for now, but it could get worse.

In another report, Legit.ng earlier reported that Obi Cubana shared his success tips with Nigerians aspiring to greatness.
The billionaire businessman said in an interview that people who want to be successful should never stop working hard towards achieving such goals.
He said social media made it look like he became a successful man overnight, adding that his business has been in existence for 13 years.
