7 Shot Dead, Many Injured as Gunmen Strike Again in Northern State

Numan LGA, Adamawa state - Armed men who attacked Bolki ward in Numan local government area of Adamawa state reportedly killed at least seven people around 11pm on Tuesday night, November 2.
Daily Trust cited a source as saying that the attack, which lasted for more than an hour, left many persons injured.
Legit.ng gathers that the Adamawa State House of Assembly has condemned the attack, calling for improved security in the area.
The deputy speaker and member representing Numan Constituency, Pwamwakeno Mackondo, also called on the Nigerian military to set up a unit in the community, which suffered series of attacks in the past.

Police confirm attack
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the Adamawa state police command, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, has confirmed the attack.
He said seven others who sustained injuries in the attack were responding to treatment at a hospital.
Nguroje added that policemen had been deployed in the community to restore normalcy while investigation had commenced.
Police finally arrest notorious kidnappers terrorising Adamawa state
In other news, the Adamawa state police command has confirmed the arrest of 14 suspected notorious kidnappers terrorising the people of the state.
The state police spokesperson, DSP Nguroje, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday, August 17, in Yola, the state capital. He said the breakthrough followed credible information from reliable sources, adding that the suspects were arrested in Fufore, Yola South and Jada local government areas of the state.
He said during interrogation all the suspects confessed to kidnapping one Alhaji Sale Idi of Farang in Fufore LGA and Ya’u Adamu of Ganye town in Ganye LGA. The police spokesman noted that another victim was Jones Hayatu of Kojoli village in the Jada local government area, adding that the kidnappers also admitted to having collected a huge amount of money as ransom from their victims.
