BREAKING: Corpses of 3 Suspected Kidnappers Who Fought over Ransom Found in Northern State

Ardo Kola LGA, Taraba state - Three suspected kidnappers in Taraba state have reportedly lost their lives in a battle over ransom.
Daily Trust reported that the incident happened a few days after ransom was paid for a Jalingo-based businessman and a housewife in the state.
The newspaper cited a source as saying that the fight occurred at the foot of a mountain located in Ardo Kola local government area of the state.
The source said villagers residing close to the mountain heard voices coming from the direction of the mountain which is under the control of the kidnappers.

He said three corpses were found at different spots around the mountain.
The source was quoted to have said:
“The kidnappers fought among themselves and some of them died in the fight. It happened during the sharing of ransom but this is the first time corpses were sighted."
However, the spokesperson of the Taraba state police command, DSP Usman Abdullahi, said the command has not officially received a report of the incident.
Suspected kidnappers shot dead while collecting ransom in Taraba
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that vigilantes killed two suspected kidnappers while collecting ransom in Sabongida town in Gassol local government area of Taraba state.
The vigilantes also rescued an elderly man identified as Alhaji Gambo who was abducted by the kidnappers. The suspected kidnappers had allegedly instructed the family of their victim to bring the ransom money to a location. The vigilantes in the area were subsequently informed and they went to the location to lay an ambush.
The armed kidnappers arrived at the said location, unknown to them that the vigilantes were around and two of them were said to have been gunned down while picking the money.
