Popular Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has shared his opinion about what could have caused the death of popular comic actor, Babatunde Omidina, better known as Baba Suwe.

Yomi in a lengthy post on his Instagram page opined that the harsh treatment Baba Suwe got at the hands of law enforcement agents left a negative effect on the actor which never healed till he died.

His post read in part:

"Torture is simply evil. Anywhere they use torture as a means of investigation, 98% guarantee they will get lies, fabrications, false testimonies just to stop the pain and humiliation.

"Supporting the use of torture is why the government will never equip the police with the necessary logistics for carrying out standard investigations.
"The effect of torture never left Baba Suwe and those that tortured galivanting around."

Accused without evidence

In the lengthy caption of the post, Yomi said Baba Suwe was dehumanised, castigated, and accused of a serious crime without evidence but got acquitted.

He also made it known that the effect of the late comic actor's detention robbed him of his career and health while he shed tears alone.

Family releases Baba Suwe's burial plans, son apologises

Legit.ng earlier reported that the son of late veteran actor, Baba Suwe, has been called out for posting a video of his father's corpse on social media.

Fans blasted him for not respecting his family with the video he shared and called him a clout chaser.

Another of Baba Suwe's sons apologised for his brother's actions and told fans to disregard the video as he revealed the burial arrangements.
