Internationally renowned veteran Nigerian Fuji artist King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, better known as Kwam 1 or K1 de Ultimate, recently trended online after announcing the title of his upcoming album Timeless.
K1 de Ultimate has been accused of copying Davido's album title and intending to use the Afrobeat singer's current popularity to promote his upcoming 10-track studio project.

Davido recently returned to the music scene after a seven-month hiatus with a new album Timeless released on March 31, 2023.
Sharing the same title with Davido's album wasn't the only criticism Kwam 1's announcement endured; the label also carried the logo of the Nigerian President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu's broken shackles.

"Kwam 1 didn't copy Davido": K1 de Ultimate's close associates slam new album's critics
After seeing the reactions online, Legit.ng reached out to persons close to K1 de Ultimate to react to the development. Tajudeen is a massive fan of Kwam 1, and he described the allegations as unfounded because the new album was already in the works since 2021.
Tajudeen said;
"Youths of today have a serious problem. Timeless K1 had announced since 2021 and held for a reason. Na wa ooo. These small boys of today want to turn it into problems online again? Oga ooo."
A former troupe member of K1 de Ultimate, Mz Olori, also shared the same information noting that the album title by K1 had been announced in 2021, but the project was put on hold for some reasons that were not made public at the time.
"The album was delayed since 2021. He didn't copy Davido, instead, he could even claim that David was the one that copied him."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng recalls reporting a video from the surprise birthday party of veteran Nigerian Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal aka Kwam 1, trended online.
Kwam 1, who recently turned 66, looked stunned in the trending online clip as he walked into the hall where his surprise birthday party occurred.
In the trending clip, the veteran musician couldn't help but ask his wife why she didn't tell him before organising a birthday party to celebrate him.
