At the Lagos Fashion Week on October 28, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State closed the show for designer Emmy Kabit.
In viral videos online, the governor led a team of models with the designer by his side, and they walked the runway together.

Clearly excited to be there, the governor bowed, waved and smiled widely as the crowd cheered his team.
As they moved to return backstage after closing for Emmy Kasbit, Sanwo-Olu hugged the designer.

People are delusional - Adam Opeloyeru
In a chat with Legit.ng, a strong supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adam Opeloyeru knocked Lagosians dragging Governor Sanwo-Olu for showing up at the Lagos Fashion Week.
He said:
"People are delusional. During the election period, they said that Governor Sanwoolu was moving around to get sympathy votes. However, the election is over now, and he is showing his support for the creative industry. The same people who shouted at him during the election are now bashing him for supporting it. He is a governor for a reason, and his support for the creative sector is an advancement of the economy. We cannot take away the opportunities that the creative sector is contributing to the Lagos state economy."
Mercy Eke's models at Lagos Fashion Week
Legit.ng earlier reported that the BBNaija All Stars ex-housemate turned heads at the 2023 Lagos Fashion Week as she made her debut appearance as a model.
A video from the event saw Mercy rocking a white gown adorned with floral as she boldly walked on the runway.
