Donning a waist bead also known as belly beads is a common practice among many Kenyan and African women and cultural practice to serve many celebratory purposes.
However, the practice has been picked up by women across the country for various reasons with a fraction of them using it as an invisible yet perceptible signal to a husband or lover.

"I have a waist bead but I even don't know its purpose," she wrote.

However, it appears some people have decided to make a fashion statement out of the experience. One of such people is a lady who made a skirt using multiple nose masks.
In the video which has since gone viral on social media, she first cleans the masks using a washing machine before sewing or glueing them up together to make a skirt.
