Just recently, a lady got the shock of her life when she commissioned a tailor to make a lace dress with fringe detailing.

While the inspiration of the part-satin dress was well executed, the same could not be said for what was delivered.

Most notable about the dress was the poor fitting and excess fringe attached, unlike the inspiration.

Style recreation gone bad

Nigerians on social media have reacted after a lady received a poorly recreated dress inspired by one of Mercy Aigbe's looks.

The original dress which was designed by CEO Luminee saw the Nollywood actress look elegant in the red ankara off-shoulder dress with ruffles.

While Aigbe made the ankara fashion trend list, a lady who commissioned her tailor to replicate the look did not exactly get what she ordered.
