Tottenham Hotspur has emerged as London's wealthiest football club, surpassing Chelsea, according to the recently released Deloitte Football Money League.

Spurs secured the eighth spot globally, generating an impressive £549.2 million (about N621 billion) in revenue during the last season.

According to Deloitte, Tottenham's revenues were propelled by the remarkable earning power of their state-of-the-art stadium.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, inaugurated in 2019, has proven to be a financial powerhouse for the club, contributing significantly to their revenue.

Spurs' match-day income alone exceeds £105 million (about N118 billion) per season.

Moreover, the club has diversified its revenue streams by successfully hosting music concerts featuring global icons like Wizkid, Beyonce, Pink, Lady Gaga, and Guns N' Roses, alongside NFL and rugby matches.

List of top 10 richest football clubs 2024

1. Real Madrid achieved a record revenue of £710 million (about N802 billion) in the 2022-23 season.

2. Manchester City came in second with a revenue of £705.6 million (N797 billion) owing to their success in the FA Cup, Premier League, and Champions League.

3. Paris Saint-Germain, with a revenue of £697.2 million (about N788 billion), broke into the top three for the first time in Money League history.

4. FC Barcelona, with £695.8 million (about N786 billion), were one of the biggest movers, rising to position four from seven the previous season.

5. Manchester United came in fifth with a revenue of £648.5 million (about N786 billion).

6. Bayern Munich was sixth, with a revenue of £647 million (about N731 billion).

7. Liverpool reported the greatest fall in year-on-year rankings, moving from number three to number seven, after recording a revenue of £593.8 million (about N671 billion).

8. Tottenham comes in at number eight with a revenue of £549.2 million (about N621 billion).

9. Chelsea was ranked number nine with a revenue of £512.5 million (about N 579 billion).

10. Arsenal closed the top ten with a revenue of £463.1 million (about N523 billion).

Highest YouTube earners in Nigeria in 2023

In 2023, YouTube announced a revenue-sharing formula which saw channel owners rake in fortunes on the platform.

A Nigerian clergyman, Pastor Jerry Eze, made the news for being the highest earner on YouTube with his early morning prayer programme. Eze retains the position and is grossing close to N1 billion.

Eze led the pack with about N919 million in revenue from YouTube.
