The 52-year-old shared a black-and-white of himself with his hands doing the Amen sign and captioned it with his huge news.

Why Snoop Dogg has quit smoking

It is unclear if the Drop It Like It's Hit crooner is having health challenges that forced him to make a drastic change in his life.

The award-winning rapper is popular for his signature w*ed in his music or social media pages, and people know him to love his rolled-up joints.

He and fellow rapper Wiz Khalifa have in the past made songs, among them OG, where they celebrated the smoking culture and being high all the time.

While making his announcement, Snoop said:

"After much consideration and conversation with my family, I have decided to give up smoke. please respect my privacy at this time."

His announcement left many social media users shocked; however, some wished him all the best in his new smoking cessation journey.
