US gospel singer Israel Houghton and his TV host wife Adrienne Baillon have joyfully welcomed their first child together via a surrogate mum.

Baillon wrote a long post on her Instagram page narrating how the journey to have their own baby was filled with ups and downs while thanking God for blessing them with a child.

Part of what she wrote on Instagram read:

"Ever James. For this child, we have prayed. Just to hear our baby cry. Skin-to-skin and face-to-face. Heart to heart and eye to eye. Our baby boy is here, and we are so in love! If you have followed our love story, you know that our journey to baby has been very challenging - But God is true to His word and His promises. We have quietly prayed while sitting on this most magnificent secret for the last nine months. He is worth every tear, every disappointment, every delayed prayer, and every IVF cycle. Everything. All we feel is joy and overwhelming love and gratitude."

Adrienne thanked their friends and family, who stood and supported them for the five years the two were trying to have a baby.

Actress Bidemi Kosoko welcomes new child

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that actress Bidemi Kosoko one of the daughters of veteran actor, Jide Kosoko, welcomed a baby girl with her husband.

The proud grandfather and Bidemi's sister, Shola, shared the good news on Instagram as they revealed that the mother and baby are doing fine.

Jide thanked God and prayed that the mother will never witness any after-birth sickness. Nigerians have joined the family in celebrating the new arrival.
