Baba Suwe: I Watched Him on TV but Didn’t Know He Was My Father, Doctor Son of Actor Emerges After His Death

A young man identified as Akanni Sherif Omidina has taken Nigerians by surprise after disclosing that he is one of the sons of late Nollywood entertainer Babatunde Omidina aka Baba Suwe.
The young man made the startling revelation while speaking to journalists at his father’s funeral ceremony which held a few days ago.
Sherif explained that his story is quite peculiar because his father had always been there and his mother never revealed his identity to him.

"My story is peculiar because my father is there and my mother knows him, and I’m busy looking for my father, going to places…It’s not easy," he said.

The young man, however, said the experience has only taught him and given him a sense of direction as to how he intends to build his family.
Sherif said it’s painful that he never grew up with the actor but only got to watch him on TV without knowing that he (Baba Suwe) is his father. The young man who is a doctor explained how he had a strong love for the actor and was a dedicated fan of his works.
Sharing further, Sherif said he met Baba Suwe before his demise and he was embraced with open arms by the family members.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Baba Suwe’s burial took place on November 25, three days after his demise.
A number of celebrities paid their last respects to the actor as they attended his burial service at his home.
One of those who attended the occasion honoured Baba Suwe by dressing up just like the late comic actor.
