Much-loved British actor, Damson Idris, has taken to social media alongside many Nigerians to mourn popular comic actor, Babatunde Omidina, aka Baba Suwe.
Baba Suwe died on November 22, 2021, and the sad news was confirmed on social media by one of his sons, Adesola Omidina.
Taking to his Twitter page, Damson posted a photo of the late actor and accompanied it with a heartfelt message to mourn him.
According to the British film star, Baba Suwe was a Nigerian icon who first taught him about comedy.

The Snowfall star then ended his note by asking God to bless the late Nigerian comic actor.

Baba Suwe's son speaks on actor's touching last moments
In a recent interview with BBC Pidgin, Baba Suwe's son, Adebowale Omidina, noted that he had gotten back home from the gym when his mother informed him that the comic actor was no longer breathing well.
The young man noted that the actor had already been placed on his first drip when he got home and the medical personnel present gave him the second one before he stepped out to wash his kits.

Adebowale then added that while he was washing his kits, his mother took him aside to inform him of his father’s death.
The young man said he was filled with shock at the news and which was why he made a video of his late father’s corpse and posted it on his WhatsApp status. However, the video went viral just within minutes of him posting it.
The young man also noted that Baba Suwe had never gotten over his ordeal with the NDLEA.
