Davido Donated N250 Million to Orphanages but Did Not Help Me When I Asked, Veteran Singer Baba Fryo Laments

Veteran Nigerian singer, Friday Igwe aka Baba Fryo, has joined host of others to react to news of Davido donating over N250 million to orphanages in the country.

Taking to his Instagram page, the Dem Go Dey Pose crooner noted how he was down and depressed in the past and reached out to Davido and other celebrities for help.

According to Fryo, all the celebrities including Davido who were contacted never responded. Instead, it was those who had no idea who he was that ended up helping.

Not stopping there, Baba Fryo said he was baffled by the news of the N250 million donation to orphanages.

He said:

“This N200m wey I dey hear for social media dey surprise me. If person like me wey be popular person wey dem know, nobody fit do anything, na orphanage wey dem no know for anywhere na im dem dey give N250m, it’s so funny.”

Fryo procced to advice Nigerians to wisen up, noting that their foreign counterparts do not behave that way.

Also in the video, the veteran singer said he isn’t against giving money to orphans because he was once an ambassador for an NGO and did not collect any pay.

Fryo however added that when he had his problems and reached out to the NGO, even them didn’t respond.

After the veteran singer aired his mind in the almost four-minute video, a number of internet users did not seem too pleased with his take and some of them accused him of feeling entitled.

Obi Cubana expresses admiration for Davido after he donated N250m to orphanages

Nigerian singer, Davido, recently left many, including billionaire businessman, Obi Cubana, in awe of his kindness after he donated over N250 million to orphanages across the country.

Recall that several of the singer’s friends and fans had donated at least N1 million to Davido ahead of his 29th birthday.

The money donated reached a total of N201 million and the singer decided to give it all including N50 million of his own to charity.

Taking to his Instagram page, Obi Cubana reacted to the development with words of praises and admiration for Davido.
