The reality star's mum stated that she is approaching her son with her products which is the gospel just like many brands are doing. However, she noted that she would not be paying him as his services would be for God.

Cross' mum noted that God sent the BBNaija star to the reality show for the gospel, hence, it is important that he preaches it.

According to Cross' mum, the gospel is her business and she wants her son to join her in spreading it.

She said:

"Companies are coming for their products, brands are coming. I, myself, I have my own product. Gospel is my product. As companies are calling you to be their ambassador, Holy Ghost school is calling Cross. to be our own ambassador of preaching the gospel. As companies are using you, I, too, will use your platform to preach the gospel.
"Anytime I need you, please give your consent so that the gospel will be preached. Tell your lovers that Jesus needs them and that your mother loves them, so bring them to Holy Ghost school. So we're gonna ship together with your lovers and all your fans in Jesus name."

According to him, he had to persuade his mom who is not familiar with trending entertainment issues.

Cross stated that his mother saw how sad he was when he couldn't get into the Lockdown show. He noted that it made it easy for him to persuade his mum to let him go for the show.

The reality star stated that his mum was happy when he got into the show this year.
