Indomie Noodles Relieves Financial Burden for Kaduna Students, Awards Scholarships to 10 Schools
In Kaduna state, many students face the harsh reality of financial struggles that often threaten their education. For some families, basic survival takes precedence, leaving little room for learning.

However, on February 19, 2025, a moment of hope arrived for 100 JSS3 students in the state, as Indomie Noodles, through its parent company Dufil Prima Foods, awarded scholarships totalling N5 million. This initiative provided much-needed financial relief to both students and parents, easing the burden and ensuring these students could continue their education.
Indomie Noodles continues to reinforce its commitment to community support and empowerment through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) pillars: education, feeding, health, and community development. These core values drive the brand’s initiatives, making a tangible impact on the lives of Nigerians. The scholarship program, aimed at alleviating the financial challenges faced by students, is part of a broader effort by Indomie to give back to the community.
Key personalities present at the event include; the Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Scholarships and Loan Board, Professor Yahaya Saleh, Director of Scholarship, KADSSLB, Haulat Madu Uma, Asst. Director (Admin and Finance), Ministry of Education, Alexander Musa, Post Staff Officer, Ministry of Education, Murtala Yahaya, and Regional Marketing Manager (North), Indomie Noodles Nigeria, Abraham Elukpo, amongst others.
This is not the first time Indomie has stepped up to support students in Nigeria. The brand has previously rolled out similar Back-to-School scholarship initiatives in various locations, including Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Ogun State.
Abraham Elukpo, Regional Manager for Indomie Noodles (North), expressed the company’s dedication to empowering young Nigerians.

In the past, we have given these scholarships to students in Port Harcourt, Ota in Ogun State, and Lagos, among others. Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Scholarships and Loans Board (KADSSLB), Professor Yahaya Saleh, commended Indomie Noodles for its significant contribution to education.

For the 100 scholarship recipients, the significance of this support went beyond the financial relief—it was a symbol of hope and recognition of their hard work.
Favour Onazi, a student from GJSS Sabo Tasha, shared her excitement:
"This scholarship means so much to me. I am so happy that Indomie came all the way to support us here in Kaduna State."
The Principal of JSS Sabo Tasha, the host school, also expressed his gratitude:
"For many of our students, financial struggles often hinder their dreams. This scholarship is a game-changer, offering hope and encouragement. We are truly grateful to Indomie for their kindness and generosity."
Parents also expressed their pride and appreciation. Mrs. Elizabeth Amos, a parent, joyfully remarked:
"This is such a blessing! The fact that Indomie thought about us here in Kaduna means the world. We pray that the brand continues to grow and prosper!"
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Indomie Mobile Kitchen was on-site, serving hot, steaming bowls of noodles to students, teachers, and members of the local community who had gathered to witness this moment of celebration.
