2022 UTME: List of Top 10 Best JAMB Candidates and Their Scores Emerges

Some important data regarding the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) has been released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Highlights from the 2022 edition of the tertiary matriculation examination were disclosed by JAMB registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, during the board's recent 2022 policy meeting in Abuja.

According to the JAMB chief, an Ekiti state indigene identified as Adebayo Eyimofe scored the highest mark in the exam, The Punch reported.

Adebayo who wrote his examination in Abuja scored a total of 362 marks.

UTME 2022: Number of candidates who scored 200 and above revealed

Meanwhile, only 378,639 of the 1,761,338 who sat for the examination scored 200 and above, which is usually the minimum requirement for admission into most Nigerian public universities.

According to Professor Oloyede, 520,596 of those who sat for the examination got 190 and above, ICIR reported.

The JAMB chief added that 704,991 scored 180 and above, 934,103 scored 170 and above, and 1,192 057 scored 160 and above.

JAMB approves cut-off marks for universities, polytechnics

Meanwhile, JAMB on Thursday, July 21, approved cut-off marks for universities and polytechnics in the country.

The decision was taken after a heated session comprising officials from JAMB, the Ministry of Education, the National Universities Commission, and the National Board for Technical Education among others.

For the polytechnics, 120 cut-off mark was approved while 140 was approved for universities.

How to check and print results of 2022 mop-up UTME results

In another related development, JAMB has released the result of the 2022 mop-up results of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations which took place on Saturday, August 6.

This was announced in a statement by JAMB's spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, in Abuja on Wednesday, August 10.

Benjamin stated that to check the results of the 2022 UTME mop-up examination, all a candidate needs to do is simply send RESULT to 55019 using the same phone number that he/she had used for registration and the result would be returned as a text message.
