Lagos Govt. Takes Drastic Action Against School After Killing of Students by Truck Driver
- The Lagos state government has taken strong action after 10 students of Bab Fafunwa Millennium School were killed by a truck driver
- The state government said the school will remain shut down until the next academic session which would be in the year 2022
- Also, some other schools located around the Ojudu Berger area of Lagos state have also shut down their academic activities
Following the killing of some pupils of Bab Fafunwa Millennium School, Ojodu, popularly known as Ojodu Grammar School, the Lagos state government has shut down the school.
Daily Trust reports that the state government announced that the school will be shut down until January 2022.
The report also said that the shutdown of the school followed an incident that occurred at about 2.15 pm on Tuesday, December 7, where 10 pupils were reportedly killed by a truck driver.
It was gathered that a DAF truck with registration number APP 438 YA rammed into the crowd of students killing 10 of them and leaving many others injured.

Also, Premium Times reports that the shutdown of the school was confirmed by the spokesperson for the Lagos ministry of education, Ganiu Lawal.
Lawal said the schools will remain shut down until the next academic session.
Some other government schools located around the Ojodu Berger area of Lagos state like the Omole Junior Grammar School has also shut down activities.
Students protest the killing of schoolmates by Lagos truck driver

The students who hit the streets of Lagos protested the killing of the schoolmates by a truck driver in the Ojudu Berger area of Lagos state.
Tragedy struck in Lagos state as a truck killed many students along Isheri Road on Tuesday, December 7.
It was gathered that the students were said to be returning from school when the truck allegedly suffered a brake failure and rammed into them.
The driver of the truck made attempt to run away but was caught and taken to the police station around the area.
Eight kids die in an abandoned car in Lagos state
In another news, no less than eight children were confirmed dead on Saturday, December 4, after they were found in a parked car in Lagos.
The vehicle in which the kids died possibly of suffocation was parked along Adelayo Street, Jah-Michael Bus-Stop, off Badagry Expressway, Lagos.
According to the spokesman of the police command in the state on Sunday, December 5, Adekunle Ajisebutu, the children unknowingly locked themselves in the car while playing.
