The warning was issued by the union's president, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, on Monday, November 15, during a briefing on the resolutions agreed upon at the National Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
Osodeke said it is worrisome to note that after one year, the government is yet to meet its demands, This Day added.

His words:
“We are very dissatisfied with the government’s attitude to our issues. We have given the government three weeks to meet our demands during the NEC meeting we had Saturday and Sunday.”
The organisation had cried out over unpaid earned academic allowance and non-implementation of universities revitalisation fund.
This came after many meetings with the government that have failed to yield desired results, hence the latest decision.
Why President Buhari should be held responsible if lecturers embark on fresh strike
Meanwhile, the industrial dispute between the government and ASUU seems like a never-ending battle.
On Thursday, September 9, the union asked Nigerians to hold Buhari responsible if the educational system becomes engulfed in a fresh crisis.
The union criticised President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for allegedly breaching the agreement it reached with ASUU, nine months after it suspended its strike action.
The Ibadan Zone chapter of the Union made this declaration at a press conference held at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, addressed by the coordinator, Prof. Oyebamiji Oyegoke.
ASUU stated that only salary shortfall and setting up of visitation panels to federal government-owned universities had been addressed by the government.
