- Ubah, who recalled how he became a senator from being apprentice, said he dedicates his new achievement to God
FCT, Abuja - Ahead of November 6, Anambra governorship election, the candidate of Young Progressives Party (YPP), Ifeanyi Ubah has bagged a degree in Law (LL.B, Second Class Hons) from the faculty of law at the Baze University, Abuja.
Legit.ng reports that the elated Ubah, who is also the senator representing Anambra South senatorial district, could not hide his joy over the new achievement as he went down memory lane to narrate his journey in life.
In a post on his Facebook page on Sunday, October 24, Ubah noted that sitting in the same classroom with youths in the age bracket of his daughter did not deter him from achieving his desired goal of becoming a lawyer.

He said:
"First and foremost, I want to thank God Almighty for His guidance without which none of this would have been possible. Undoubtedly, it has been a long journey but our loving God in his infinite mercy and grace took me by the hand and led me thus far in my academic pursuit.
"My transition from the hallowed Senate chamber to sitting in the same classroom with effervescent youths that happen to fall within the same age bracket with my daughter was a very challenging and startling journey."
Ubah said that when he decided to study law, he was prepared to learn, explore and challenge himself to leave his comfort zone and live a new reality.

He noted that he was proud to say he made the right decision, saying that the past years as a student have enabled him to learn more within and beyond the confines of the classroom.
The senator said that every little encounter and experience he gained so far at the university has been enriching, adding that it would remain within his memories for life.
He said:
"My sojourn in Baze University ultimately reinforces the belief that we are never too old to learn; never too powerful to learn and never too full of learning.
"My learning experience has truly been a fascinating and unforgettable one and I have so many people to thank for that. At this juncture, I would like to congratulate my fellow graduands including Chief Osita Chidoka, Dr. Adaora Umeoji, Senator Dino Melaye and others for successfully obtaining their degrees. Thank you all for sharing in this amazing journey with me, I sincerely wish you all the very best in your future endeavours."
He also expressed his gratitude to his wife and kids for their unwavering love, belief and support for believing in him even when he had doubts.
Ifeanyi Ubah asks court to grant him permission to visit Nnamdi Kanu
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that Ubah sought an order of a Federal High Court, Abuja to grant him access to visit Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who is currently at the Department of State Services (DSS) detention.
It was reported that Ubah said he made the move in order to find a solution to the security crisis in the southeast region.
The senator stated that Kanu's arrest has triggered insecurity in the southeast, noting that the politicians have taken advantage of the Kanu situation to cause mayhem in the region.
