In celebration of its 13th birthday, the Octa broker joined forces with KIR (Keeping it Real Foundation) to implement a charity project to educate Nigerian women and provide them with work tools to help boost their small businesses.

The Octa and KIR's charity initiative targeted 50 underprivileged Nigerian women in Calabar, Lagos, Jos, and Port-Harcourt. The project targets single mothers, women with disabilities, and those who lost their husbands to internal conflicts. All project beneficiaries already have vocational skills but are hindered in pursuing their profession by needing essential equipment and business knowledge.

The initiative included providing women with various tools and agricultural goods, including fertilisers and seeds. Charity beneficiaries will receive grinding machines, sealers, industrial pots, wheelbarrows, and other equipment that will improve their working conditions and enable them to increase their income.

In addition, the organisers conducted training in financial literacy, customer management, and sales optimisation. These skills will help Nigerian women improve their business acumen and monetise their vocational skills.

Octa believes education is a powerful driver of women's empowerment and financial independence. As a socially conscious broker, Octa regularly engages with local communities in the regions of its operation to alleviate the most pressing problems and positively impact living standards. This year, the broker sponsored a three-fold charity project in Nigeria to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan. The initiatives funded by Octa included providing 300 children with educational supplies, training 25 youths in tech skills, and establishing yet another reading corner in one of Nigeria's cities.

Octa is an international broker that has been providing online trading services worldwide since 2011. The company is involved in a comprehensive network of charity and humanitarian initiatives, including the improvement of educational infrastructure and short-notice relief projects supporting local communities.
