According to The Guardian, experts who spoke at the summit expressed optimism that the Dangote Refinery will significantly enhance Nigeria’s economy.

Olakunle Alake, Group Managing Director of Dangote Industries Limited, praised Tinubu’s administration for acknowledging the importance of the private sector.

He also stressed the value of teamwork during a panel discussion titled “Unlocking our Competitive Advantage.”

Alake said to effectively participate in the Africa and Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA), Nigeria must grow its manufacturing sector and total economy.

He listed obstacles to the efficient implementation of AFCFTA as insufficient infrastructure, a lack of requisite skills, and a poor producing sector.

The AFCFTA, he claimed, was not the solution to Nigeria’s economic problems.

He added that by supporting the growth of the industrial sector, the country might benefit the most from it.
