Breaking: Tompolo shuns court's invitation again
Justice Ibrahim Buba of a Federal High Court in Lagos has renewed a warrant for the arrest of a former Niger Delta militant, Government Ekpemupolo (popularly known as Tompolo).
The warrant had to be issued after Mr. Ekpemupolo failed to respond to invitations to appear before the court.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is accusing Tompolo of corruption.
He is facing 14 counts of money laundering and theft spanning between 2012 and 2015. His case is being pursued by the anti-graft commission which is leading President Muhammadu Buhari’s drive to recover billions of dollars lost to corruption.
The arrest warrant for former Niger Delta warlord coincided with the resumption of attacks in the region.
Tompolo was a prominent figurehead in the Niger Delta militancy that besieged the oil-producing country in the mid-2000s.
