Cholera Kills 3, Leaves 34 Others In Hospital in Wase
No fewer than three persons passed away due to cholera outbreak, while 34 persons were infected in Gumbur Ward in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Leadership reports the disease broke out last Sunday morning and claimed the lives of three persons, while 34 others keep fighting for their lives. The matter was immediately reported to the state's Ministry of Health for assistance as the number of persons affected is critical.

However, the council’s chairman, Mr Zakari Abdul, assured that the symptoms accompanying cholera such as vomiting and diarrhoea have been brought under control. He also expressed sadness over the loss of patients' precious lives.
"We do not want a situation where the epidemic will be out of control and ravage our people. We dispatched our medical team with drugs that same Sunday to control the situation. In fact, even this morning (Tuesday) we sent more drugs to the area.

"People should ensure that they properly wash their hands before eating food, wash vegetables and fruits very well before eating as well as have good and clean toilet," Mr Zakari Abdul concluded.
