President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan is currently in Washington DC, USA for a 3-day US-Africa Leaders Summit.

Jonathan posed for a photo with the President of United States, Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama in the Blue Room during a dinner at the White House on August 5.

Jonathan joined President Obama and about 50 other participating African leaders for the 3-day summit which started on Monday, August 4, and will end on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, for discussions that are expected to lead to greater progress in key areas such as expanding trade and investment ties, promoting inclusive sustainable development and expanding cooperation on peace and security.

President Jonathan had left for the U.S on Sunday and there had been reports that him and his delegation would be screened for the Ebola Virus as they arrive for the summit.

President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, has since debunked the report.
