Heavy Downpour Sweeps Pastor Away

The pastor of a church in Ilorin, Kwara State, was swept away by an early morning downpour which lasted for about seven hours on Tuesday, August 5.

The yet to be identified pastor was said to be creating a water channel for the flood caused by the heavy downpour when he suddenly slipped into a drainage and got swept away, Daily Sun reports.

Unfortunately, he drowned in the erosion and died before help could reach him.

According to residents in the area, any day there was heavy downpour, the Man of God usually volunteer to create water channels to reduce the erosion.
