Pastor Adeboye Announces Changes In RCCG Hierarchy
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has notified the public yesterday that there are some new changes in the hierarchy of the church.
Making this known to newsmen after a meeting of the Governing Council of the church, yesterday, the retirement of two members of the council after attaining the retirement age as stipulated by the mission's constitution was announced.
The head of Media and Public Relations, Pastor Segun Adegbiji, revealed that the two retired officers include Pastor Oluwalogbon and Pastor C.O. Osho, while two members of the church who have served the church meritoriously for 40 to 38 years, have been appointed to replace them.

The Governing Council, which is the highest organ of the church is made up of 18 members with Pastor Adeboye as chairman. Other members now include Pastors Kuo, Ezekiel Odeyemu, Elijah Daramola, Gbadebo Lawal, Joseph Obayemi, with Johnson Odesola and Remi Obayemi just joining aboard after two members have retired.
Vanguard reports that there is an increase of special assistants attached to the General overseer of the mission from 12 to 19 in which some are pastors of various RCCG parishes abroad. Pastor Adeboye also announced the inauguration of a World Advisory Council which members of the council will be former members of the governing council and all special assistant to the G.O.
The church which has experienced growth in Nigeria within the last two years has made it known that it planted 28,582 parishes in the year 2012-2013 and 32,036 parishes in 2013-2014 with a total of 332,800 souls won for Christ in 2012 - 2013 and 507,472 others in 2013-2014.
It would be recalled that the widely known mission recently celebrated the General Overseer all across the globe, on his 72nd birthday with high pitched gospel music, dancing and prayers for long life and divine strength of the great Man of God.
