Governor Kwankwaso, in an interview with newsmen, weekend, in his office, blamed the current spate of insecurity in the country on President Jonathan’s incompetence to rule the country.
In his words: “What Nigeria requires now is a strong leadership that can effectively tackle the insurgency in the North-East, and other topical security challenges”.
Reacting to the allegations, the Senior Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe told Vanguard saying: “Rather than expose himself continuously to public ridicule, Governor Kwankwaso should spend his remaining period as governor in delivering on his failed promises to the people of Kano state.”

“Kwankwaso must try to be cerebral when commenting on national issues. The “kwankwasiya” mentality may work for him locally in Kano, but definitely will not carry him far on the national platform.
“President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is not running a clannish government, neither is he playing any religious card.
“Are the ministers of Finance, Agriculture, Inspector General of Police; Group Managing Director of NNPC; Chief Justice of Nigeria; Chief of Staff and Principal Secretary; Special Adviser, Adviser, Media in the Presidency Ijaws or from the South South extractions?
“Kwankwaso should spend the remainder of his tenure to deliver on his failed promises to Kano people instead of exposing himself continuously to public ridicule."
