Amosun's Wife Campaigns For Him

The wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, has implored residents of the state to support her husband in the 2015 elections.

Making it known that the votes of the people in the state is all her husband needs to make his dream of a second term in the office come true, Mrs Amosun said if the people are convinced that her husband has done so well, then they should vote him again for a second term.

Vanguard reports that the wife of the Ogun state governor said this during an empowerment programme organised by a member of the state House of Assembly representing Abeokuta-North, Mr. Olayiwola Ojodu, on Saturday. She told the party members at the venue that her husband's second tenure will allow him to finish up all the works that are still in the pipeline, thereby ensuring a great Ogun state.

In her words, “I am always happy when I am called upon to inaugurate projects like this. This is how development can get to the grass roots. Projects like this will complement what the governor is doing. He’s always on the move, working. If you believe he has performed well, you have to show this by voting him in for a second term.”

Mrs. Amosun further implored the party loyalists to see Ojodu as an exemplary figure stressing that one needs not become a political figure before one can empower members of the public.

She added: “In our little corners, we can help the next person. To some people N10,000 will make a lot of difference in their lives. While to some others N1,000 will do the same.” Ojodu empowered people in his constituency with different items which include grinding machines, refrigerators, generators, hair dryers, among others".

It would be recalled that just recently,former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, expressed his grief over how his successor, Ibikunle Amosun, for destroying the economic base of the state, highlighting the effects on the locals.
