Asari Reacts To Allegations Of Masterminding Kaduna Bomb Blast
Former militant and leader of Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, NDPVF, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, has denied having a hand in the bomb blasts in Kaduna, which was reportedly targeted at former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.).

Asari, who spoke in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, through the national chairman of his group, Aladiokuma Hart, said the allegations against him was a ploy by those who masterminded the attack to score cheap political points and make him look bad ahead of the forthcoming 2015 general elections.
According to the Vanguard report, he claimed they were the same people responsible for his arrest in Benin Republic.
He urged those behind the allegation to come forward and substantiate their claim with facts, figures date, time and (the) venue that he or she knows about how Dokubo-Asari masterminded the attack.
"They should come out in the open and stop using the media as a grapevine for defamation of character. They are all drowning people looking for what to take hold of in their failed mission," he said.

Condemning Boko Harm killings in the country, the group reiterated its resolve to support President Jonathan in his second term bid, calling on him to declare his intention to be re-elected into office come 2015 and continue his transformation agenda for the good of the nation.
After the blast on Wednesday, 23rd July, 2014, which killed about 85 people, and was said to be targeted at Buhari, Asari had alleged that Buhari masterminded the attack on himself. He later lambasted President Jonathan for saying Nigeria would have boiled if the former head of state had died in the attack, making it clear that he wasn’t working for the President.
His statement was condemned by a group, Centre for the Vulnerable and the Underprivileged (CENTREP), who described it as childish, adding that could polarise and threaten the corporate existence of the country.
Earlier, reacting to allegations that he was behind the attack on Muhammadu Buhari, Asari had written a letter to the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate the allegation.
