Boko Haram Set Ablaze Churches And Make Threats In Borno
Reports indicate that suspected Boko Haram insurgents on July 30 set ablaze at least 5 churches in Hawul LGA, Borno State.
According to Vanguard, the affected communities are Kwajaffa and Tashan Alade, among others.
The predominantly Christian Hawul already came under attack last weekend during the night raid by terrorists.
It has been gathered that in the course of the Wednesday attack the gunmen stormed the communities also at night targeting only churches and using IEDs and petrol bombs before setting churches ablaze. After having destroyed the building the suspected sect members reportedly threatened the locals that the Local Government Headquarters Secretariat in Hawul would be next.

Hawul LGA caretaker Andrew Usman Malgwi confirmed the incident and all the information provided.
The locals believe that the terrorists have shifted their attacks to their area and be the Nigerian authorities to deploy troops to save civilians and property.
It would be recalled that despite the strong presence of military in Borno due to declaration and extension of the emergency rule in Adamawa, Yobe and Borno states, the Nigeria's North has witnessed numerous ghastly attacks within this period. The most unprecedented case was the abduction of more than 200 Chibok girls in Chibok on April 14 by the terrorist group members.
