No Fresh Case Of Ebola In Lagos

The Lagos State Government has released a statement yesterday in order to inform the public about some important information everyone need to know about the deadly disease called Ebola.

The special Adviser to Lagos governor on Public Health, Dr Yewande Adeshinam has made a statement to debunk rumour going round that some persons who are residents in Lagos are already carriers of the deadly virus. Mrs Yewande revealed that none of the persons who had contact with the late Liberian, who died cruelly from the pawns of Ebola, Patrick Sawyer, has manifested any early signs of the deadly disease.

PMNews reports that the special Adviser explained further that none of the 59 persons that had contacts with the Foreign Ebola victim has developed any symptoms whatsoever pointing at the deadly virus. She confirmed that they are however fine and in good health.

Also in line with this development, the Commissioner for Information, Lateef Ibirogba, has advised all the residents to be careful of dubious people who claim they can cure the deadly disease as it is only proper medical monitoring of any unusual health condition noticed, that can help bring down the deadly disease before it grows into a matured stage.

The Commissioner however warned people to desist from sending panicky text messages round about the Ebola Disease that could heighten tension and create anxiety. He reminded residents of the State to make use of the emergency phone numbers – 08023169485, 08033086660, 08033065303, 08055281442 and 08055329229 provided to contact health authorities in case anyone with observed symptoms of the Ebola disease is noticed. He also advised residents to observe the highest level of personal environmental hygiene adding that they should visit hospitals or Primary Health Centres nearest to them to report strange feelings noticed.
