Attack On Buhari: Call Asari-Dokubo To Order – Group Tells Jonathan
A group, Centre for the Vulnerable and the Underprivileged (CENTREP), has lambasted ex-militant Alhaji Mujarhedeen Asari-Dokubo over his comment on the terrorist attack on former head of state, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd).

The group described as 'childish', Asari-Dokubo's statement where he alleged that Buhari masterminded the terror attack on his convoy in Kaduna in a desperate bid for him and his group to take over power from Jonathan in 2015, Leadership reports.
In a statement issued yesterday in Warri, Delta State, CENTREP’s executive director, Mr Oghenejabor Ikimi condemned the statement which, according to him, could polarise and threaten the corporate existence of the country.
He said: “In as much as I do not hold brief for Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, I submit that remarks such as the one made by Alhaji Dokubo-Asari are capable of further polarising our polity to the detriment of the vulnerable and underprivileged Nigerians and I call on all well-informed Nigerians to condemn same, and in particular for the Presidency to dissociate itself from the above vexatious and inflammatory statement owing to the closeness of its author to President Goodluck Jonathan.”
He, therefore, called on President Jonathan to call Asari-Dokubo and his other misguided supporters to order for the sake of a peaceful and a united Nigeria.
Two explosions rocked Kaduna on July 23, leaving at least 82 people killed, according to report. One of the blast was targeted at a renowned Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, while Buhari’s convoy was hit by the second blast.
As reactions continued to pour in over the attacks, Alhaji Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, an ex-Niger Delta militant and a major political figure of the Ijaw ethnic group in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria took to social media to say Buhari masterminded the attack on himself.
Meanwhile, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) are blaming each other for the attack on Buhari in Kaduna.
