PDP Condemns Kaduna Blasts, Sympathises With Buhari
The ruling Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday, July 24, condemned the Kaduna bomb blast which left scores of people dead.
In a statement which was issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh, the party sympathised with former Head of state Gen. Buhari and all those affected by the blast, The Nation reports.

The PDP thanked God for saving the lives of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, whose convoys were affected by the attacks.
Describing the attacks as dastardly and unfortunate, the party called on all the Nigerians to unite in the fight against terrorism, irrespective of ethnic, political and religious affiliations, as it has become clear that anybody could be a target.

The PDP, which said that Nigerians must unite for the nation to win the war against terror, also advised leaders of the opposition party to watch what they say concerning the Kaduna attack.
The party urged security agencies to intensify their efforts in the fight against insurgency in the country and also ensure a thorough investigation into the attacks.
Twin bomb explosions rocked Kaduna State on Wednesday, 23 July, 2014. According to report at least 82 people were killed.
The first attack, which occurred around afternoon, was said to target an Islamic cleric Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, who led prayers in Murtala Muhammed Square, while the second blast was reportedly aimed at killing Gen. Buhari, who later narrated his ordeal.

Prominent Nigerian politicians, including President Goodluck Jothan, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, have condemned the attack while also sympathising with the families of the deceased.
