Gen. Buhari's Wife Reacts To Alleged Assassination Attack On Husband
Following the yesterdays attack allegedly targeting the former head of State Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, his wife expressed her shock over what many call the assassination attempt.
Two explosions rocked Kaduna on July 23, leaving at least 82 people killed, according to the latest information. The second blast reportedly was aimed at killing Gen. Buhari. The official, who is also a senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), reportedly narrowly escaped death and later narrated his ordeal.
Prominent Nigerian politicians, including President Goodluck Jothan, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, strongly condemned the attack and condoled with the families of the deceased.
Following the alleged assassination attempt, Buhari's wife Aisha Buhari spoke in a conversation, the extract of which was provided by famous Nigerian blogger Linda Ikeji:
"I never believed that one can kill himself to kill another person in Nigeria. I have heard of suicide bombers in Nigeria, but I never believed, until the attack on my husband yesterday. It is scaring. The experience was traumatising."

Meanwhile, police confirmed that 25 people died in the first explosion; on the second blast official information is yet to be provided. However, numerous media reports say that the total number of the deceased from twin attack equals 82.
