Apex Islamic Organisation Reacts To Kaduna Bombing
The highest Islamic organisation in Nigeria, Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), on Wednesday condemned Kaduna bomb blast which left scores of people dead.
The group in a statement issued by its Secretary General, Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, stated that the country is gradually transforming into a theatre of bloodshed.

Below is an excerpt from the statement obtained by The Nation:
“We are dazzled over the news of the explosions in Kaduna City, which killed many innocent Muslims in a Tafseer closing session of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, held at Murtala Muhammad Square, Kaduna and within a short while another blast was said to have rocked Kawo in the city.
“We therefore, condemn in the strongest term these repeated acts of terror being unleashed on the Muslims, in this blessed month of Ramadan.
“JNI equally sympathizes with all the affected victims and also consoles with the families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident. May Aljannatul Firdaus be the abode of all the deceased, Amin.
“As usual, JNI calls on all authorities concerned to be more committed to their responsibilities of protecting the lives and properties of Nigerians as no development can be achieved in a situation of fear, insecurity and chaos.
“All hands must be on deck to stop these perpetual massacres of lives and properties, as Nigeria is becoming a theatre of lost of blood for no just cause, which must be stopped.
“Muslims should utilise the remaining days of Ramadan to complain to Allah, The Most Merciful, through vigorous supplications for relief, succour and ease against the evil masterminds of the nagging insecurity bedeviling our country.
“May Allah, the All-Mighty, The Compeller, The Supreme, and The All-Knowing, bring an end to this nagging evil, disgrace the perpetrators and grant us lasting peace, security, prosperity and a promising future full of happiness and development, Amin,” the statement read.
The apex Islamic group, Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) had earlier ordered members of the dreaded terrorist group, Boko Haram to cease fire.
The Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati Wal-Jihad popularly known as Boko Haram, an Hausa language meaning "Western education is sin”. The terrorist group has its strong hold in the northeastern part of the country, Cameroon and Niger. It has launched several deadly attacks and bombings which have claimed thousands of innocent lives in its quest to Islamise the country and put an end to what they described as westernisation.
The sect is responsible for the abduction of over 234 school girls from GGSS, Chibok, Borno State. Their menace has attracted international communities like France, U.S, China, Israel, Britain among others, who have volunteered to help the Nigerian Government in wiping them out as well as rescue the kidnapped Chibok girls.
Peter Pham, director of the Africa Center at the Atlantic Council, while testifying before a congressional committee, said the terrorist group has recently taken effective control of 10 local government areas in Borno State and that some residents, who successfully fled the area, aren’t willing to come back as long as Boko Haram remains there.
Boko Haram, which was designated a terrorist group by the USA in 2013, started its armed struggle in 2009, after the extrajudicial killing of its founder, Mohammed Yusuf, while in police custody. The activities of the extremists is yet to be fully checked by the Nigerian Armed Forces as it recently carried out another deadly attack in Kaduna which reportedly left over 80 people dead.
