Netherlands Beat Brazil 3-0

By having demolished Brazil 3-0 Netherlands win the third place trophy in the 2014 World Cup.

Robin van Persie (3'), Daley Blind (16') in the first half and Georginio Wijnaldum in the second half (90') caused another shocking defeat for the tournament hosts, goal.com reports.

This comes after the Brazil's humiliating semi-final loss to Germany with the score 1-7. Not even presence of injured Neymar, who appeared on the bench to support his team, could help players to return self-confidence.

Meanwhile Louis Van Gaal's men demonstrated sophisticated playing skills. Already in the 3rd minute of the match Van Persie put Netherlands ahead by scoring the first goal from the penalty spot.

Things quickly went from bad to worse for Brazil as David Luiz's dreadful headed clearance from De Guzman's cross gifted Blind the simplest of finishes after 16 minutes.

In a harsh battle Brazil showed no intention to give up, when Wijnaldum crashed the hosts' last hope by powering home Daryl Janmaat's cross in the very end of the game.

While the winners celebrate the deserved 3rd place...

The devastated Brazil's fans show immense internal strength

This game is over. However the most expected one, Mundial final between Argentina and Germany, is to be held Sunday, July 13.
