Ayodele Fayose Explains Why Jonathan Will Win 2015 Presidential Election
The Ekiti State governor-elect, Ayodele Fayose, on Friday, boasted that President Goodluck Jonathan, will win the 2015 general election because the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has both the people and the strategy to win the election.
Speaking in Lagos, at a reception organized by the party to commemorate his victory in the just-concluded Ekiti State governorship poll, he stated that no force would be able to stand in the way of President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election, adding that they would only waste their time if they attempt to.

Fayose, while thanking members of the Lagos State chapter of the PDP for their support during the election, said his victory had shown that PDP can reclaim the South-West. He urged the party's leadership to avoid imposition of candidate on members as there were enough competent aspirants in the South West that can be governor.
“Nothing will stop Jonathan in 2015. Those going about blackmailing Jonathan are wasting their time. We have the strategy. We have the people. We have done it before. We will do it again. We are going to get Lagos,” he said.
Speaking also at the ceremony, Obanikoro, refuted the allegation that he used his position as the minister of state to intimidate voters in Ekiti. He insisted that the election was free and fair, and assured that the PDP will also win the forthcoming Osun State governorship election because the people of South West have discovered the truth.
The minister of state for defence also called on Nigerians to support the government in its fight against insurgency irrespective of their political affiliations. He pointed out that terrorists do not care about the party anyone belongs to, because they regard all the Nigerians as their enemies.
The chairman of the party in the South West, Filani, urged party members to replicate what happened in Ekiti State, in Osun governorship poll as well as other South West states.

Similarly, Shelle, Lagos State PDP chairman, after congratulating Fayose on his victory, promised that his state will repeat what happened in Ekiti.
“We are going to win Lagos 2020, the way Fayose won Ekiti 1616,” Shelle said.
It would be added that the occasion had top officials of the party in attendance, including the Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musilu Obanikoro, chairman of the PDP in Lagos State, the Zonal chairman of the party, Chief Ishola Filani, and Chairman, Mobilization Committee of the PDP in South West, Prince Buruji Kashamu.
