Governor Kwankwaso Orders Free Treatment For Victims Of Kano Blast

Kano State governor Rabi’u Kwankwaso yesterday claimed that the government would pay the medical bills of those affected by explosion in the School of Hygiene.

Immediately after the tragedy, which left at least 8 dead and 20 injured, Kwankwaso visited the school condemning the attack on innocent students, PM News reports.

He blasted those behind the bombing, saying that "school is the last place to attack by any sensible person".

As the injured victims were delivered to the Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital, the governor urged the Ministry of Health to ensure their speedy recovery.

The official also commended Nigerian security agencies for their quick reaction. It would be recalled that hours after the tragedy Kano State police claimed they had arrested a suspect in connection with the attack.

In addition, Kwankwaso addressed residents asking them to cooperate with security and pray for peace in Nigeria.
